Vicars Cross 11 Saughall Colts 1

With cold driving rain, muddy pitch and a late kick off all added to Colts' misery today, still struggling with a small squad, the Colts kept their chin up and never gave up. Well done lads!

Saughall Colts 4 Malpas 4

What a tremendous match between both teams, Malpas took control in the first half going in half time 3-1 leaders. However second half saw Colts play some great football and having conceded again early second half, Colts came back from 4-1 down and made it 4-4, they never gave up with minutes to go both teams hitting the woodwork, so shared spoils seem the best result.

Saughall Colts 1 Vicars Cross 8

Duke of Westminster Cup

Colts played with good spirit in this game and played some great football, our wishes and thoughts go to Alex Doak who half way through the second half suffered a knee injury which needed hospital treatment, with no subs available and only 10 men on the pitch the Colts showed great character and never let their heads drop and played the game out. Well Done!!!

Saughall Colts 1 Princes Villa 3

Another good performance from the Colts with a depleted squad, Villa took the lead from a penalty from a hand ball in the area, but Colts playing some attractive football bounced back and scored the equaliser. Villa took the lead before half time with 2 goals in quick succession but Colts held on second half and had some good chances but with injured players having to make numbers up it was always a struggle

Saughall Colts 4 Park Saints 2

A superb game of football from both teams, even in very blustery conditions, Colts took the lead 3 times to come out eventual winners and never gave up both times the Saints equalised. An excellent performance from the whole team in particular the full backs Robert Nicholson and Liam Elsden and the MOM winner Keeper Danny Youde who made some world class saves to keep the Colts in the game.

Saughall Colts 7 Chester Nomads 2

What a difference having 12 players available for a match, Colts played some great football using the width of the pitch and the keeper for an extra defender. The performance showed character after the previous results and showed the determination to win is still there. Well done lads, especially Robert for his full performance and well taken goal

With only 10 players available today the match looked a daunting task but the essential team spirit showed through and heads never went down. Well done lads!!

Malpas 2 Saughall Colts 2

A good performance from the Colts again this week, going down 1-0 but a penalty appeal for hand ball gave Colts the equaliser through a calm George Carroll penalty strike. Colts took the lead second half with a Jeff Norris rocket of a shot Colts then suffered various injuries which unsettled the team, Malpas took the equaliser and shared the points.

Saughall Colts 1 - Vicars Cross 5

I am sure that I am in agreement with everyone on the Colts touchline that the result does not reflect the performance on the field today. Only having 10 players available for the match, the work rate and effort from every Colts player was outstanding. Having taken the lead with a Tom Whitney strike, Colts new that V.X. wouldn't sit back and for 65 minutes soaked up the pressure but with cramp setting in, the Colts had given their all.

Pulford 0 Saughall Colts 0

A much improved Colts team put in a very good footballing performance today with numerous chances on goal, the ball just wouldn't go in. With a much depleted squad and no subs, the Colts effort wasn't rewarded today with a win but it will come, well done lads!!

Not the best start to the season for the Colts, lets just say room for improvement across the board.

Saughall Colts MOM Danny Youde for keeping it in single figures.
